Halloween 2009 and another year older

Well once again life seems to get in the way and my blog get's put on the back burner!  Oh well!  To start off--Jillian had a BLAST this Halloween!  We started off the night at a church "trunk-or-treat"...she totally got the concept of saying "Trick or Treat" and getting candy!  By the end of the night she was a complete pro.  After we left the church we headed to my cousin's house and took all the little kiddo's around the neighborhood.  Once again Jillian completely understood the concept--the only thing she didn't understand is why she couldn't go into each and every house!  After we completely wore her out trick-or-treating, she went to Nina's house for more fun--while Jerad and I went on a movie date night (which was like our first night out kid free in forever)!  It really was a great Halloween!  Next, I turned a whole year older...ugh!  A friend of mine said that age is only a number and you are as young as you feel--the only problem is I'm only 28...yet I feel so much older at times!  I have made a promise to myself--that my 28th year of life is going to be a good one!  I am going to find ways to be less stressed, have more fun and spend more time with the people I love!  Here are a few pictures of our pumpkin carvings and Halloween night!

Jillian was mommy's helper!

She was a little grossed out by the pumpkin guts!

We were having lots of fun!

She is such a girl and doesn't like to get dirty--if you look closely she is wearing a "glove" aka plastic wrap and tape!

The finished product!

Now keep in mind that I had a two year old helping me!

Mr. Perfectionist on the other hand...well I'll admit it--he had the better pumpkin this year!

Getting ready to go "trick-or-treating"!

She was getting a Halloween tattoo

Little cutie pie's!

She had so much fun!

Fun Fall Festivities!

This past weekend was full of fun fall festivities!  On Saturday morning we headed to Houston for the spooky Boo Zoo.  We ended the day with a nice stroll along the Kemah boardwalk.  On Sunday we went to the Pumpkin Patch--  Jerad, Jillian and I each got pumpkins and hopefully we will have some time this week to carve them!  Here are a "few" photos from our fun fall family festivities!

Stopping to grab a bite to eat!

Daddy and the cutest kitty cat ever!

Jerad looks like he is having so much fun!

Bree and Jillian sharing--a rare occurance!

She was determined to get that pumpkin!

I Adore Fall!

I have been neglecting my poor blog...sometimes life just gets in the way and before you know it--days and weeks just fly by!

--My fave time of year is here--Fall!  I adore all the things that Fall brings, such as:
1. Cooler weather and light sweaters.
2. Time to make my home made pasta sauce with fresh fall veggies!
3.  The smell of my fresh baked pumpkin pie--(candle)!
4.  The leaves turning beautiul colors.
5.  Picking out Halloween costumes.
6.  Scarecrow decorations.
7.  My Birthday is right around the corner!
8.  Fun Fall festivals and The Pumpkin Patch
9.  Holidays are close.
10. Families seem to be closer!

These are just a few of the reasons that Fall gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside!  This weekend was PERFECT with amazing Fall weather--and we took advantage of the nice weather...here are a few pictures from our weekend and a sneak peak of one of Jillian's Halloween costumes!  Yes, she has two Halloween costumes--one is a kitty cat and the other is Little Red Riding Hood.  She got to pick out two because last Halloween was just HORRIBLE! We didn't get to have any fun because she was sick in the hospital.  So we are going to make up for it this year!
